Mission Accomplished!

Homemade Washi Tape

I woke early this morning eager to try out the idea I had last night to make my own homemade washi tape.

I love any kind of map and never have enough washi tape with images of world maps, so the first thing I did was print onto rice paper all the designs I wanted to use for this experiment. This included in addition to maps, some of my other favorites.

I love the Victorian shoes and hourglasses. My favorite quotes are chosen too.

I also chose a washi-style image page from Graphics Fairy.

After printing on rice paper, I applied double-sided tape to the back in long strips. It would have been better to use a wider tape, but hey, you use what you have. And then I carefully cut the strips apart.

I LOVE it!
